For those wanting to chill by the pool, it's pretty good too. This is a modern villa equipped with everything needed for a relaxing break. All bedrooms are en-suite, one with a balcony. The property has full air conditioning, wireless internet throughout, underfloor heating and the pool can be heated on request.

The marina of Vilamoura is nearby (2 km), a variety of restaurants, shops, and bars are available. Why not try trendy ‘Bar Sete’, co-owned by footballer Luis Figo on the edge of the water, a spot of cabaret at the casino and then onto the Algarve's biggest nightclub (15 minutes away outside the village of Maritenda)? If you like fun-packed days out, there are 4x4 adventures through the countryside plus a variety of water sports including parasailing, wakeboarding, and water skiing. Yacht charters are also possible.

Cultural days out include day trips to Seville (why not hop over the border and explore this Spanish gem), or Lagos and Sagres (see where Henry the Navigator sailed from, clifftop fortresses and the museum of Santo Antonio).
